The City of Houston has collaborated with several under-served communities to provide resilience planning and document what steps to take to help avoid the worst effects of climatic events and to recover more quickly in the aftermath. To facilitate the process the Planning and Development's Communication division promoted the community workshop events with social media and email campaigns. We also provided the connecting pages on our website/engagement platform and supplied the onsite materials such as posters and flyers. We also produced multiple neighborhood specific resilience guides to outline the challenges encountered in each area.
