Topics: Systems design, Collaboration/Team-Building, Audience and Personas, Creative Writing.
Objectives: Collaborative research, Creative Thinking, Collaborative Content Development, Repurposing Content for multiple delivery channels, Team Coordination and Cooperative Learning.
This course encourages collaborative brainstorming, making and coordination. Team projects are required to encourage idea generation and shared production responsibilities. Emphasis is on systems design, branding and the development of self-authored content. Creative writing and naming is also a focus.

Nefarious Collection - Wayne Gennette & Fernando Rosales 2011 TOP ![]()
A collaborative project invented by the design team. Nefarious is an exhibition of fairy-lore artifacts collected by a rival Earl of King George IV. The magical items were collected in an attempt to amass power and overthrow the king. The details of the story, although fictional, are based on actual fairy-lore and the interest in fae culture prevalent in England in the early 19th century.






Fear Itself - Kayla Pfrommer & Kate Rigney 2011 TOP ![]()
Fear Itself is a compiled collection of irrational phobias. The fictional collection backstory involves a young woman who documents her own fears, adding other common phobias, in an attempt to conquer them. There is also a brief demo of the interactive experience here.





Mandibles Man Treats - Chris Salvador 2011 TOP ![]()
A line of snack products developed for the blue-collar workers of America. As with all of the upper levels projects, the concept, writing, visual system and packaging are student authored.


The Sugar Coated Candies - Alexandra Garey 2011 TOP ![]()
A line of candy developed with a bit of dark humor. Sugar Coated candies deliver sweet treats with blunt messages designed to keep the peace and repel the annoying.






Fernando Rosales - 2011TOP ![]()
Food packaging as a vehicle for social commentary was the core idea of the project. Filosofeed became an opportunity to talk about nourishment from the standpoint of both the physical and the spiritual. The humorous writing is a nice contrast to the serious philosophical references.
