Grade Level: Junior or Senior / Elective Course
Topics: Principles of Motion, DV Camera Basics, Experimental Footage, Media Integration (image, text, sound and duration).
Objectives: Independent research, Creative Thinking, Self-authored Content, experimentation with new processes, experimentation with new mediums, understanding of rhythm, timing, transitions and, basic understanding of sound manipulation, cohering multiple mediums, time based medium as experiential.
This course is an introduction to the principles and concepts of designing for sequential content. Participants are encouraged to produce self-authored content, including custom images, video footage, crafting sound and textual content. Projects are open ended to allow for exploration of topics of interest and to frame the point of view.
Note: The competencies of this course are being actively integrated into the curriculum on all grade levels. This course will be phased out in the near future.
